Every year, the prestigious Congregation Beth Israel transforms into a hub of elegance and generosity for an unforgettable charity fundraising Gala. This highly anticipated event consistently sells out, drawing in community members eager to support a noble cause while enjoying a night filled with inspiring stories, delightful company, and captivating entertainment.
This marks our third consecutive year of designing both the floral arrangements and the overall event experience for a charity gala that holds a special place in our hearts. Once we receive the theme text, everything else comes to a halt as we focus our energy on this important project. Our commitment is driven not only by our passion for the cause but also by the trust and respect bestowed upon us by the Chair and the Director of Development. Their confidence in our abilities inspires us to create an unforgettable event each year.
This year’s theme was inspired by the elegance of a high-end piano bar in New York City. We were excited to incorporate multiple floating candles, which created a warm and inviting ambiance. Additionally, at the request of the Chair’s daughter, we included numerous single-stem bud vases. For these, we sourced premium-imported roses, each in full bloom, along with striking red anthuriums specially grown on a farm in British Columbia.
The color scheme for the evening was a dramatic blend of red burgundy, black, and subtle hints of gold, which together exuded an aura of sophistication, mystery, and boldness. The atmosphere was not only visually striking but also perfectly complemented by the rhythm of “Sexy Back” by Justin Timberlake, adding to the evening’s vibrant energy.
We believe this year’s Gala design was one of our most impressive yet. It was meticulously planned while still maintaining an essence of minimalism that allowed each element to shine. The stunning visuals, captured brilliantly by our talented friend, Chiu Chou Photography, speak volumes. Chiu seemed so engrossed in the beauty of the setting that it felt like he didn’t want to leave the ballroom, and he certainly delivered a curated collection of photographs that showcase our finest Gala design to date.
