Gives so much back to CC and Roa Designs
CC Roa was involved in a number of charitable and industry events in 2009. An absolute highlight was being involved in the 2009 Juno Awards. ( Click to see the Juno Floral Gallery ) CC was honored to be invited to participate in the first "haute floral couture event"; the Pour Lamour de la Fleur in Ottawa Canada, as well as the 2009 Word Rose Festival. Roa is anticipating 2010 to be another another exciting year - CC and Roa Designs is especially looking forward to the 2010 Vancouver Olympics. Pour L'amour de la Fluer (For the Love of Blooms), Canada Conference Centre, Ottawa
CAFA invited CC to experience and assist in this very first haute floral couture event to benefit Breast Cancer Research. The following great people made the experience for CC absolutely amazing.
- Joel Frappier, MFA, CAFA, Chief Head Judge for World Flower Council: CC worked with Joel Marc on the Victory Gown and Food and Flower Dress.
- Rada Ristisch, CAFA, Maitre Fleuriste
- Ryan Jennings, Food Stylist Extraordinaire, Toronto: CC worked with Ryan on the Food and Flower Dress
- Domenic Serio, Serio Couture, Ontario: CC designed 2 floral armatures for Serio's one of a kind dress for Dolce and Gabbana and gown for Smashbox.

The 2009 World Rose Festival , Vancouver Canada: World Rose Organizer, gave an exclusive by "invitation only" floral promenade showcasing Vancouver's cutting edge floral designers. CC was honored to take part at the Designers' Show presented by CPFD together with:

The 2009 Pret-a-Pour-Tea: This beautiful Breast Cancer Foundation Event was held at Season's in the Park,
the "Roa Boa's and Grand Prize" were a huge hit.

The Gingerbread Lane at the Vancouver Hyatt Regency Hotel: Christmas at the Hyatt Regency Vancouver is always a joy for CC to do. Gingerbread House was designed by Chef Hans Lutz and the talented Hyatt Team. The hotel comes alive with the spirit of Christmas. Very thankful to Melvin Garcia of Wired Digital | Vancouver for the gorgeous images of Roa's work.

C.H.I.L.D Foundation: Doorman's Dinner: Roa Floral and Event Designs was glad to be involved in the Annual Doorman's Dinner for the 2th year. It was such a pleasure working with the Honorable Grace McCarthy and Mary Parsons.
